Google Ads requires your content and ad destination to work on common browsers. If your ad is disapproved because of a destination error, here’s how you can fix it.
Destinations that doesn’t function properly have been set up incorrectly or return an HTTP error code. For Google Ads, bot web crawlers on common devices will result in an ad disapproval. You can check the ad’s disapproval details in Google Ads to ensure your ads destination is working correctly. You can also check your landing page keyword “Dynamic Tracking and “Deep-link URLs” to make sure they’re correct and don’t contain typos.
There are eight common destination address that can cause your ad disapproval HTTP 4xx response or HTTP 5xx response, DNS error, Redirect URL too long, Empty redirect URL, or bad redirect URL, Private IP, Malformed HTTP response, Timeout reading page, Server redirects too often, or Page requires authentication.
When you find out why your ad was disapproved, you can verify if Google AdsBot web crawlers have access to your website by using one of Google’s AdsBot bot web crawlers User agent string, Google’s AdsBot.
If you can’t fix the destination error, contact your web developer or use a different ad destination that won’t violate any policies. When you’ve fixed your destination error by correcting any URL or HTTP errors, you’ll be able to request a review of your ad for approval.
You can also use a different destination that doesn’t return any destination error. Edit your ad’s final URL to point to another part of your app or website. Then resubmit your ad for approval. Google will then review and confirm.
